What do you hold in your hand? Over 100 years ago it was the pride of a young couple, purchased at great expense to celebrate a marriage, polished with pride and used on special occasions, high days and holidays. Time made them an everyday item. Used by three generations, tens of thousands of times, to feed, to measure, cut and and as a make do tool. Neglected for years in preference for shiny stainless steel and plastic. Destined for a charity shop, car boot or thrown away. Eventually Rescued, crafted, polished and loved. What do you hold in your hand, its been, coveted, admired, loved, owned, used, neglected, abused, forgotten, discarded. Found, inspiring, renewed, coveted, admired, loved, owned.
